Designing and building pneumatic control panels is the core strength of Interfluid's pneumatics division, a pneumatics specialist since 1979. Every panel starts from the customer's specification: we design it, assemble it in our own workshop, test it and deliver it ready to install on the machine.

We work mainly with machine builders (OEMs) who want a reliable panel that is easy to maintain, without dedicating people and time to building it.

What a pneumatic control panel can include

The layout depends on the machine. A typical panel brings together:

• pneumatic valves and solenoid valves, single or on manifolds, with their electrical wiring;
• air preparation units: filters, regulators and lubricators;
• pressure regulators for compressed air;
• vacuum and lubrication components, when the machine requires them;
• fittings and flexible hoses for compressed air.

Pneumax as our reference, no brand lock-in

Our reference brand is Pneumax, an Interfluid partner since 1985, alongside Bürkert and the other brands we distribute. Unlike suppliers tied to a single manufacturer, we do not impose a brand: if your machine already uses Festo or SMC components, or your end customer requires them, we build the panel with those components. Where needed, we also assess with you the use of components with specific certifications.

From design to testing

1. Analysis: we study your requirements to select the components best suited to the machine's functions and sequences.
2. Consulting and assessment: we flag any critical issues, size and optimise the components, and produce the system diagram and technical drawing in CAD.
3. Production: we assemble the panel in-house, paying close attention to the layout of components and wiring, with labels that make connection and component identification immediate.
4. Testing: every solenoid valve fitted is energised and pressurised to check operation and tightness before shipment.

What you receive on delivery

• the panel, assembled and tested, ready to connect;
• the pneumatic diagram in CAD or PDF format;
• the digital wiring diagram, with labels and numbering matching those on the panel;
• a 12-month warranty on the panel.

We build pneumatic control panels for machines in packaging, automation and robotics, automotive, plastics and rubber, printing and paperboard, food, glass, ceramics, sheet metal and wood.

One example: in plastics processing (extrusion, converting, thermoforming, injection moulding) the pneumatic panel handles pressure regulation, flow control and movements for delicate operations such as film winding or flexographic printing.

What is a pneumatic control panel?

It is a panel that brings together, on a single plate or in a cabinet, the solenoid valves, air preparation, regulators and other components that drive a machine's pneumatic actuators. It arrives ready to connect, with a diagram and labelled wiring.

Why outsource the building of a pneumatic panel?

The machine builder receives a finished, tested product: no in-house resources are tied up in assembly, no staff need training for the task, and installation time on the machine is reduced.

Can you build the panel with Festo or SMC components?

Yes. Our reference brand is Pneumax, but if the machine or the end customer requires Festo, SMC or other brands, we build the panel with those components.

What is delivered with the panel?

The pneumatic diagram in CAD, also available as PDF, and a digital wiring diagram with labels and numbering, used for connection on the machine and for later maintenance. The panel carries a 12-month warranty.

How is a pneumatic panel tested?

Before delivery every solenoid valve fitted is energised and pressurised to verify correct operation of the components and the tightness of the system.

Can a pneumatic panel include vacuum and lubrication?

Yes. The panels are based on pneumatic technology but can also include vacuum and lubrication components, a combination proven in the field over the years.

What do you need to prepare a quote?

The machine specifications are enough: functions to control, sequences, special requirements. If you already have a diagram we start from it; if not, we develop it with your engineers.
