The Safeline valves, designed to be used in safety pneumatic circuits, are available in ISO1, ISO2, ISO3 versions (derived from standard regulations) with a 5/2 configuration and in the compact 412/2 version of G1/2” with a 3/2 configuration.

To ensure safety, a diagnostic system has been implemented that monitors the ON/OFF status of the valve. The reliability of the system is enhanced by configuring the pneumatic connections in the respective sub-base, using a Hall effect sensor that detects the position of the spool and indicates its status:

• ON state of the sensor: the valve is at rest
• OFF state of the sensor: the valve is activated

Among the Safeline valves there is one provided in the air treatment group of the Airplus series, which aims to intercept the supply of compressed air to the system and ensure its effective discharge in case of an emergency, thus excluding any energy source.

The Safeline series solenoid valves, in the single version, are classified as CATEGORY 1 components according to EN ISO 13849 and are suitable for use in safety circuits up to PL=c. On the other hand, the double version solenoid valves are classified as CATEGORY 4 components according to EN ISO 13849 and suitable for use in safety circuits up to PL=e.

HERION XSZ safety valves stand out for their safe actuation, emergency stop, accident prevention, protection of expensive devices, and increased productivity.

The XSZ valve range includes both 3/2 and 5/2-way valves actuated pneumatically or by solenoid. Both models offer intrinsic safety without residual pressure, as well as dynamic self-monitoring and rapid exhaust capability. Pneumatically actuated models seamlessly integrate into two-hand control systems, thus meeting the requirements of DIN EN 574 and DIN EN ISO 13849 standards.

The solenoid-actuated range complies with the latest standard mentioned above; with the 3/2-way option, it is ideal for use in combination with pneumatic clutch/brake systems and other 3-way safety functions.

HERION XSZ safety valves are available with the following options: damping units, soft-start units, soft braking units, threaded or flanged safety silencers, signaling devices.
