Pneumatic valves description
Pneumax pneumatic and mechanical control valves are available with both spool and poppet configurations, offering a wide range of control possibilities.
The connections for this series range from M5 to 1".
These valves have an average life that varies from 10/15 million cycles depending on the combination of use and if the system is equipped with a good filtration that reduces the wear of the seals.
Thanks to their balanced spool structure, these valves can be used in 3 or 5-way configurations. In the case of 3-way valves, they can be used in both normally closed and normally open modes, while 5-way valves can be powered also by 3 and 5-way exhausts at different pressures.
During movement, the spool isolates the connections and remains stable, unaffected by the supply pressure.
Pneumax solenoid valves are available in various configurations, both spool and poppet types. The control is achieved electro-pneumatically, in two stages, with an initial direct-acting solenoid valve that pilots the main power valve. This arrangement is designed compactly to allow their use even in confined spaces.
The air needed for piloting comes, respectively, from the main valve's inlet in the self-feeding version and from the external source in the externally powered version. The latter configuration enables the valve to operate even at low pressures.
Solenoid valves are available in different sizes: G 1/8", G 1/4", G 1/2" and G 1".
These valves use a balanced spool switching system, which is insensitive to the presence or absence of pressure. They are available in 3 and 5-way configurations, with 1 solenoid (monostable) or 2 solenoids (bistable) and also in a 5-way 3-position version (with closed centers, open centers and pressurized centers).
